Rently is a smart, secure rental marketplace built on the sharing economy. We connect individuals and businesses across South Africa to rent, list, and earn from a wide range of products—without the burden of ownership.
Visit and click Sign Up. Fill in your personal details (name, email, phone number, and password), then verify your email to activate your account.
To keep your account secure, Rently uses 2FA, which requires both email verification and a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS for login and sensitive actions.
You can rent just about anything—from tools, electronics, and furniture to fashion items, vehicles, and more. Rently’s diverse marketplace caters to both everyday needs and special occasions.
Rently is currently available throughout South Africa. Expansion to other regions is on our roadmap as we grow the movement for access over ownership.

From your user dashboard, go to Profile Settings. Add your address, ID number, and upload both sides of your ID to complete verification. Don’t forget to save your updates.

Yes. You can update or remove listings anytime from your My Store or Dashboard section.
You can set hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly rates within your product listing to offer flexible options to your customers.
The Rules & Regulations ensure proper use of items, while the Cancellation Policy outlines terms and fees for cancellations, creating clear expectations for both parties.
Head to the Top Rentables page. Use filters like location, category, and price to narrow your search, then click More Info on any listing for full details.
On a product page, click Add to Cart, choose your rental duration, and follow the steps to complete your checkout.
You specify rental dates during checkout—choose the start and end dates based on your needs, and the system calculates the cost accordingly.
First, contact the rentee (owner) directly. If the issue isn't resolved, reach out to our support team at support@rently.mobi for assistance.
After selecting your item and rental duration, go to Checkout, fill in your booking and billing details, and submit your payment to confirm.
We accept secure payments through OZOW, which supports cards and other online payment options in South Africa.
Payments are processed via OZOW, and Rently never stores your card details. All banking info used for verification and withdrawals is encrypted and secure.
